Cast : Anil Kapoor , Nana Patekar , John Abraham , Shruti Hassan ,Paresh Rawal.
Direction : Anees Bazmee.
Plot : Welcome Back is the sequel to Welcome . The bhai’s are now settled in Dubai, leading a decent respectable life. Just when one of the bhai’s wedding is going to get fixed with Rani Chandni(Ankita Srivastava), Uday Shetty’s(Nana Patekar) father comes in with the news that he has a younger sister , Ranjana(Sruthi Hassan). The maharani ( Dimple Kapadia) on hearing this declares that the bhai’s should not get married unless their younger sister gets married . While the bhai’s fix Ranjana’s marriage with Dr Goongru’s(Paresh Rawal) son, Ranjana falls in love with Ajju bhai(John Abraham) . Rest of the story revolves around on how Uday and Majnu bhai (Anil Kapoor) try to break them apart , once they get to know that Ajju is a bhai.
My view : Welcome back is entertaining from scene one . It is a comic caper without the usual stale jokes . Most of it is situational comedy. Nana Patekar , Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal carry their roles forward from the previous version . Most of the funny moments are between Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. Anil Kapoor is doing what he is best for. Paresh Rawal is happily taking revenge for what the bhai’s did to him in the prequel.John Abraham is his usual with his stiff face , he adds on to the fight scenes . Shiney Ahuja as a dimwit drug addict is useless in the movie . He looks like a limp drug addict with zero emotions in the movie .Shruti Hassan and Dimple Kapadia could have been used more . Nazeeruddin Shah is terrific as Wanted Bhai who is a blind shooter. Though he appears much towards the end of the movie , he makes an impact to the movie. Welcome back has lots of grandeur in its sets , songs and costumes . I feel the ending could have been a bit better. The funniest scene for me is the pre climax scene in the cemetery . Welcome back is a one time watch and for those who like comedy . This one is more fun than the previous version.
Control Uday control.
Theda Kande waala.
Humare paas bhagwaan ka diya hua sub kuch hai, daulat, shaurat aur izzat.

Remometer : 3.5/5
Welcome back is the first Indian movie to be shot in the Emirates Palace.
Dimple Kapadia’s clothes in this movie cost 1 crore , to give her the authentic look of a princess .
Most of the movie is shot in Dubai.
Goof ups :
Blood stains on Nazeerudeen Shah’s shirt keeps changing in the climax scene.
Paresh Rawal’ on screen wife (supriya karnik) doesn’t appear in the second half of the movie .
