Ramante Edenthottam Movie Review:
Cast : Kunchacko Boban,Anu Sithara,Joju George,Ramesh Pisharadi.
Direction : Renjith Shankar.
Plot:Malini(Anu Sithara) is married to Elvis(joju George),a film producer whose movies have been flopping at the box office.During a vacation to Edenthottam,Malini meets Raman(Kunchacko Boban). They start off on logger heads, however later, they turn out to be friends.Ramante edenthottam is how their friendship changes Malini’s life.
My view in a nutshell:
+ve : Surreal,deals with bold topics.
-ve:lost track in between.
My view in detail:
I decided to watch Ramante edenthottam, because it was directed by Renjith Shankar, the man behind Punyalan Agarbathis,Varsham and Su..sudhi valmeekam.
But let me tell you Renjith Shankar doesnt dissapoint, and neither does Ramante edanthottam. The movie is about the friendship between Malini & Ram.It is briefly mentioned that Ram’s wife passed away.Malini is in a suppressed relation with her husband,Elvis.Elvis never has a decent conversation with Malini and is always seen insulting her.Elvis is always tensed and worried about his dwindling finances and flopping movies, that he has little concern for Malini.
The movie deals very boldly with extra marital affair. It doesnt support or show it in bad light. The extra marital affair is merely a part of the movie, which doesnt go overboard.
Kunchacko Boban as Raman is a mature man, with lots of positivity. He looks at life from a different perspective.
Anu Sithara as Malini kept me occupied not only with her acting, but also with her dance skills. She is the main protagonist in this movie.
Jojo Joseph as Elvis is a male chauvinist to the core, whom anybody would hate to be with. His performance deserves appreciation.
Other supporting characters like Najma(Muthumani) lends a helping hand to Malini’s character.Similarly,Salim(Sreejith Ravi) lends a helping hand to Elvis.
The one i liked the most is Varmaji(Ramesh Pisharadi).Ramesh Pisharadi brings lot of humor effortlessly to the screen.
Ramante Edenthottam is a well executed simple movie. It does lose focus in the second half, but soon gets back on track and does not bore.It deals with happiness. It doesn’t preach about right or wrong.
The cinematography is astounding.
Ramante Edenthottam is a movie that can definitely be watched more than once.I would suggest you catch this feel good movie in a theater next to you.
