Raman Raghav 2.0 is a psychotic tale of two complicated souls.

Cast : Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal .

Direction
: Anurag Kashyap .

Plot
: Raman Raghav follows the lives of Raman and Raghav , who are similar yet different .

My views
: Raman Raghav is dark and gritty . Raman played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui has lots of layers of complexity to him . He is a self appointed messenger of Yamraj . He murders with so much of ease , like its a daily task.Later in the movie , he mentions that murdering comes naturally to him like eating food . He maintains an account book where he lists down the names of the people he killed .He moves like a sly cat without making any noise , people hardly notice him unless he announces his arrival.Raman is very proud of the murders he has committed and mentions it whenever he gets a chance. He secretly craves for respect . There is a black cat shown alongside Raman ,a lot many times , which I feel probably symbolises evil or the slyness of Raman . Vicky Kaushal is DCP Raghavendra , who is an insomniac drug addict. He is rough , devoid of emotions and loves only his drugs . He would go to any extent to get his drugs , including hacking people in Raman s style .remorse doesn’t even come close to him . .Due to certain reasons, Raman starts stalking Raghav and the plot gets thrilling from there . RR has strong performance from both the lead actors . I liked Vicky Kaushal in Masaan, and he has come a long way in RR. A lot of RR has been shot in the dark , in slums ,amidst garbage , yet it didn’t bore me . RR has a lot of blood , splashing around and may not suit everybody. RR is definitely not a feel good movie . Watch it only if you like watching ,Anurag Kashyap,Nawazuddin Siddique , Vicky Kaushal or movies with a psychological touch. I watched it for Nawazuddin Siddique and the new found adoration I have found in Anurag Kashyap.
