Dishoom is a new gen Main Khiladi Tu Anari.

Cast : John Abraham , Varun Dhawan , Jacqueline Fernandes , Saqib Saleem , Akshaye Khanna.

Direction : Rohith Dhawan.

Plot : Cricketer Viraj Sharma (Saqib Saleem) goes missing 2 days before the India Pakistan Finals . Kabir Shergill , a cop in the special task force is given the responsibility of finding him . Junaid Ansari , joins him in the task .

My view : I decided to watch Dishoom because I found the trailer entertaining .

Dishoom is more or less like ‘Mein Khiladi Tu Anari’ with one of the cops being stone faced and the other being stupid, where the stupid one ends up proving himself in the end . John Abraham as Kabir is a expressionless stone faced cop , while Varun Dhawan as Junaid is full of life . Kabir is the best in the work force , while Junaid is the worst pick in the police force.

Jacqueline Fernandez is nothing more than a arm candy .

Akshaye Khanna dazzles as the antagonist . But he lives too luxurious a life for somebody who has a debt of 400 crores . Well , the currency is not mentioned .

There are a couple of interesting guest appearances by Nargis Fakri , Vijay Raaz and Akshay Kumar . I liked Akshay Kumar as Sam the most . He is so much of fun to watch.

Saqib Saleem looks disciplined and athletic as a cricketer . He is determined to not sell himself .

The story has nothing new to offer . The director has made it interesting and fun with a couple of interesting action sequences .

Dishoom is a one time watch . Watch it if you are on the look out for a no brainer entertainer.

Quotes that caught me :

Aaj se Bradman uska.

He is one of our most disciplined boys .

Maine bhi to kaha tha , seediya le le.

Lekin aapka itch guard nahi mila.
Kya life hai Brutus Ki .
Wagah naam hai mera
